Terms of Service

Welcome to DocInspector. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our AI-powered web application ("Service"), including all features, functionalities, and content provided by DocInspector ("we", "our", or "us"). By using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of the Service

You may use DocInspector solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a legal guardian to use the Service.

2. Account Registration & Authentication

To access certain features, you must register an account using Auth0 authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Document Processing

• You may upload legal documents to generate summaries, risk flags, and key point extractions.
• Original documents are never stored on our servers or databases.
• Summaries generated are stored in our MongoDB cluster hosted in the EU region.

4. AI Usage

Our document analysis is powered by the OpenAI API. Input data is sent temporarily for processing and is not retained by OpenAI or stored by DocInspector beyond the summary result.

5. User Data and Privacy

We value your privacy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information on how your data is handled. You may delete your summaries at any time, which will permanently remove them from our systems.

6. Prohibited Conduct

• Using the Service for illegal or unauthorized purposes
• Reverse-engineering, copying, or redistributing any part of the Service
• Uploading malicious code or attempting to compromise the application’s security

7. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including but not limited to its content, features, and underlying technology, remain the exclusive property of DocInspector or its licensors.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or legal sufficiency of any output generated by the AI tools.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocInspector shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users or us.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes go into effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify users of significant updates via email or in-app notification.

12. Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify our pricing, subscription fees, and billing methods at any time. Any changes will become effective at the start of the next billing cycle after notice is provided. We will notify you of such changes via email, in-app notification, or by posting an updated pricing page on our website. Continued use of the service after the effective date of the price change constitutes your agreement to the new pricing terms. If you do not agree with the updated pricing, you may cancel your subscription prior to the new rates taking effect.
